BNV : তখন শলোমন বললেন, “প্রভু অন্ধকার মেঘের মধ্যে থাকার ইচ্ছে প্রকাশ করেছেন|
KJV : Then said Solomon, The LORD hath said that he would dwell in the thick darkness.
YLT : Then said Solomon, `Jehovah said -- to dwell in thick darkness,
RV : Then spake Solomon, The LORD hath said that he would dwell in the thick darkness.
RSV : Then Solomon said, "The LORD has said that he would dwell in thick darkness.
ASV : Then spake Solomon, Jehovah hath said that he would dwell in the thick darkness.

ERVEN : Then Solomon said, "The Lord chose to live in a dark cloud.

BNV : হে প্রভু, আমি আপনার চিরকালের বসবাসের জন্যই এই বিশাল মন্দির বানিয়েছি|”
KJV : But I have built an house of habitation for thee, and a place for thy dwelling for ever.
YLT : and I -- I have built a house of habitation for Thee, and a fixed place for Thy dwelling to the ages.`
RV : But I have built thee an house of habitation, and a place for thee to dwell in for ever.
RSV : I have built thee an exalted house, a place for thee to dwell in for ever."
ASV : But I have built thee a house of habitation, and a place for thee to dwell in for ever.
ESV : But I have built you an exalted house, a place for you to dwell in forever."
ERVEN : But, Lord, I have built a beautiful house for you to live in forever."

BNV : হাত উঁচু একটা মঞ্চে উঠলেন এবং ইস্রায়েলের লোকদের সামনে আভূমি নত হয়ে আকাশের দিকে দুহাত ছড়িয়ে বললেন:
KJV : And the king turned his face, and blessed the whole congregation of Israel: and all the congregation of Israel stood.
YLT : And the king turneth round his face, and blesseth the whole assembly of Israel, and the whole assembly of Israel is standing,
RV : And the king turned his face, and blessed all the congregation of Israel: and all the congregation of Israel stood.
RSV : Then the king faced about, and blessed all the assembly of Israel, while all the assembly of Israel stood.
ASV : And the king turned his face, and blessed all the assembly of Israel: and all the assembly of Israel stood.
ESV : Then the king turned around and blessed all the assembly of Israel, while all the assembly of Israel stood.
ERVEN : King Solomon turned around and blessed all the Israelites gathered in front of him.

BNV : এবং শলোমন বললেন, “ইস্রায়েলের ঈশ্বরের মহিমা কীর্ত্তিত হোক| তিনি আমার পিতা দায়ূদকে যে প্রতিশ্রুতি দিয়েছিলেন তা রেখেছেন| প্রভু ঈশ্বর বলেছিলেন,
KJV : And he said, Blessed [be] the LORD God of Israel, who hath with his hands fulfilled [that] which he spake with his mouth to my father David, saying,
YLT : and he saith, `Blessed [is] Jehovah, God of Israel, who hath spoken with His mouth with David my father, and with His hands hath fulfilled [it], saying:
RV : And he said, Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, which spake with his mouth unto David my father, and hath with his hands fulfilled it, saying,
RSV : And he said, "Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, who with his hand has fulfilled what he promised with his mouth to David my father, saying,

ERVEN : He said, "Praise the Lord, the God of Israel, who has done what he promised my father David. The Lord said,

KJV : Since the day that I brought forth my people out of the land of Egypt I chose no city among all the tribes of Israel to build an house in, that my name might be there; neither chose I any man to be a ruler over my people Israel:
YLT : `From the day that I brought out My people from the land of Egypt, I have not fixed on a city out of any of the tribes of Israel to build a house for my name being there, and I have not fixed on a man to be leader over My people Israel;
RV : Since the day that I brought forth my people out of the land of Egypt, I chose no city out of all the tribes of Israel to build an house in, that my name might be there; neither chose I any man to be prince over my people Israel:
RSV : `Since the day that I brought my people out of the land of Egypt, I chose no city in all the tribes of Israel in which to build a house, that my name might be there, and I chose no man as prince over my people Israel;

ERVEN : 'I led Israel out of Egypt long ago. And in all that time, I have not chosen a city from any tribe of Israel for a place to build a house for my name. I have not chosen a man to lead my people, the people of Israel.

BNV : কিন্তু এখন আমি জেরুশালেমকে বেছে নিয়েছি, আমার নামের জায়গা হিসেবে এবং আমি দায়ূদকে আমার লোক, ইস্রায়েলের ওপর শাসন করার জন্য মনোনীত করেছি|’
KJV : But I have chosen Jerusalem, that my name might be there; and have chosen David to be over my people Israel.

BNV : “আমার পিতা দায়ূদ প্রভু, ইস্রায়েলের ঈশ্বরের নামে একটি মন্দির বানাতে চেয়েছিলেন|
KJV : Now it was in the heart of David my father to build an house for the name of the LORD God of Israel.
YLT : `And it is with the heart of David my father to build a house for the name of Jehovah God of Israel,

BNV : কিন্তু প্রভু আমার পিতাকে বলেছিলেন, ‘দায়ূদ আমার মন্দির বানানোর কথা ভেবে তুমি ভাল করেছো|
KJV : But the LORD said to David my father, Forasmuch as it was in thine heart to build an house for my name, thou didst well in that it was in thine heart:
YLT : and Jehovah saith unto David my father, Because that it hath been with thy heart to build a house for My name, thou hast done well that it hath been with thy heart,
RV : But the LORD said unto David my father, Whereas it was in thine heart to build an house for my name, thou didst well that it was in thine heart:

ERVEN : But the Lord said to my father, 'David, it is good that you want to build a temple for my name,

BNV : কিন্তু তুমি নিজে এই মন্দির বানাতে পারবে না| তোমার পুত্র শলোমন আমার নামের জন্য এই মন্দির বানাবে|’
KJV : Notwithstanding thou shalt not build the house; but thy son which shall come forth out of thy loins, he shall build the house for my name.
YLT : but thou dost not build the house, for thy son who cometh forth out from thy loins, he doth build the house for My name.
RV : nevertheless thou shalt not build the house; but thy son that shall come forth out of thy loins, he shall build the house for my name.
RSV : nevertheless you shall not build the house, but your son who shall be born to you shall build the house for my name.'
ASV : nevertheless thou shalt not build the house; but thy son that shall come forth out of thy loins, he shall build the house for my name.
ESV : Nevertheless, it is not you who shall build the house, but your son who shall be born to you shall build the house for my name.'
ERVEN : but you cannot build the Temple. Your son will build the Temple for my name.'

BNV : এখন প্রভুর ইচ্ছেয তাই ঘটতে চলেছে| আমার পিতা দাযূদের জায়গায় আমি ইস্রায়েলের নতুন রাজা হয়েছি এবং প্রভুর কথা মতো আমি প্রভু ইস্রায়েলের ঈশ্বরের নামে এই মন্দির বানিয়েছি|
KJV : The LORD therefore hath performed his word that he hath spoken: for I am risen up in the room of David my father, and am set on the throne of Israel, as the LORD promised, and have built the house for the name of the LORD God of Israel.
YLT : `And Jehovah doth establish His word that He spake, and I rise up in the stead of David my father, and sit on the throne of Israel, as Jehovah spake, and I build the house for the name of Jehovah, God of Israel,
RV : And the LORD hath performed his word that he spake; for I am risen up in the room of David my father, and sit on the throne of Israel, as the LORD promised, and have built the house for the name of the LORD, the God of Israel.

ERVEN : Now, the Lord has done what he said he would do. I am the new king in my father's place. David was my father. Now I am Israel's king. That is what the Lord promised, and I have built the Temple for the name of the Lord, the God of Israel.

BNV : এবং আমি ইস্রায়েলীয়দের সঙ্গে প্রভুর চুক্তি সমন্বিত সাক্ষ্যসিন্দুকটা ঐ মন্দিরে রেখেছি|”
KJV : And in it have I put the ark, wherein [is] the covenant of the LORD, that he made with the children of Israel.
YLT : and I place there the ark, where [is] the covenant of Jehovah that He made with the sons of Israel.`
RV : And there have I set the ark, wherein is the covenant of the LORD, which he made with the children of Israel.
RSV : And there I have set the ark, in which is the covenant of the LORD which he made with the people of Israel."
ASV : And there have I set the ark, wherein is the covenant of Jehovah, which he made with the children of Israel.

ERVEN : I have put the Box of the Agreement in the Temple. The Box of the Agreement is where the Lord's agreement is kept. The Lord made this agreement with the Israelites."

BNV : ইস্রায়েলের সমবেত লোকের উপস্থিতিতে দুই হাত প্রসারিত করে শলোমন প্রভুর বেদীর সামনে দাঁড়ালেন|
KJV : And he stood before the altar of the LORD in the presence of all the congregation of Israel, and spread forth his hands:
YLT : And he standeth before the altar of Jehovah, over-against all the assembly of Israel, and spreadeth out his hand, --
RV : And he stood before the altar of the LORD in the presence of all the congregation of Israel, and spread forth his hands:
RSV : Then Solomon stood before the altar of the LORD in the presence of all the assembly of Israel, and spread forth his hands.

ERVEN : Solomon had made a bronze platform and placed it in the middle of the outer courtyard. The platform was 5 cubits long, 5 cubits wide, and 3 cubits tall. Solomon stood on the platform and faced the Lord's altar. In front of all the Israelites who were gathered together, Solomon kneeled, spread his hands out toward heaven,

KJV : For Solomon had made a brasen scaffold, of five cubits long, and five cubits broad, and three cubits high, and had set it in the midst of the court: and upon it he stood, and kneeled down upon his knees before all the congregation of Israel, and spread forth his hands toward heaven,
YLT : for Solomon hath made a scaffold of brass, and putteth it in the midst of the court, five cubits its length, and five cubits its breadth, and three cubits its height, and he standeth upon it, and kneeleth on his knees over-against all the assembly of Israel, and spreadeth forth his hands towards the heavens --

BNV : “হে প্রভু, ইস্রায়েলের ঈশ্বর, স্বর্গে অথবা পৃথিবীতে তোমার সমকক্ষ কোনো ঈশ্বর নেই| তুমি তোমার ভালবাসা ও দয়ার চুক্তিতে বিশ্বস্ত| যারা তোমার সামনে বিশ্বস্তভাবে তাদের সর্বান্তঃকরণ দিয়ে জীবনযাপন করে তাদের সঙ্গে তোমার চুক্তি বজায় রাখ|
KJV : And said, O LORD God of Israel, [there is] no God like thee in the heaven, nor in the earth; which keepest covenant, and [shewest] mercy unto thy servants, that walk before thee with all their hearts:
YLT : and saith, `O Jehovah God of Israel, there is not like Thee a god in the heavens and in the earth, keeping the covenant and the kindness for Thy servants who are walking before Thee with all their heart;
RV : and he said, O LORD, the God of Israel, there is no God like thee, in the heaven, or in the earth; who keepest covenant and mercy with thy servants, that walk before thee with all their heart:
RSV : and said, "O LORD, God of Israel, there is no God like thee, in heaven or on earth, keeping covenant and showing steadfast love to thy servants who walk before thee with all their heart;
ASV : and he said, O Jehovah, the God of Israel, there is no God like thee, in heaven, or on earth; who keepest covenant and lovingkindness with thy servants, that walk before thee with all their heart;
ESV : and said, "O LORD, God of Israel, there is no God like you, in heaven or on earth, keeping covenant and showing steadfast love to your servants who walk before you with all their heart,
ERVEN : and said, "Lord, God of Israel, there is no god like you in heaven or on earth. You keep the agreement that you made with your people. You are kind and loyal to those who follow you with all their heart.

BNV : আমার পিতা দায়ূদকে তুমি যে প্রতিশ্রুতি দিয়েছিলে আজ তাকে তুমি সত্যে পরিণত করে বাস্তবায়িত করেছো|
KJV : Thou which hast kept with thy servant David my father that which thou hast promised him; and spakest with thy mouth, and hast fulfilled [it] with thine hand, as [it is] this day.
YLT : who hast kept for Thy servant David my father that which Thou didst speak to him; yea, Thou dost speak with Thy mouth, and with Thy hand hast fulfilled [it], as at this day.
RV : who hast kept with thy servant David my father that which thou didst promise him: yea, thou spakest with thy mouth, and hast fulfilled it with thine hand, as it is this day.
RSV : who hast kept with thy servant David my father what thou didst declare to him; yea, thou didst speak with thy mouth, and with thy hand hast fulfilled it this day.

ESV : who have kept with your servant David my father what you declared to him. You spoke with your mouth, and with your hand have fulfilled it this day.
ERVEN : You made a promise to your servant, my father David, and you kept that promise. You made that promise with your own mouth, and with your own hands you made it come true today.

BNV : এখন প্রভু ইস্রায়েলের ঈশ্বর, তাঁকে দেওয়া তোমার সে প্রতিশ্রুতি পালন করো| তুমি এই প্রতিশ্রুতি দিয়েছিলে যে সবসমযেই ইস্রায়েলের সিংহাসনে তাঁর বংশের কেউ না কেউ অধিষ্ঠিত থাকবে| একথা তুমি ভুলো না| হে প্রভু, তুমি পিতাকে বলেছিলে যদি তাঁর সন্তানরা তাঁর মতোই তোমার প্রতি ভক্তি ও শ্রদ্ধা প্রদর্শন করে তোমার নির্দেশিত পথে জীবন অতিবাহিত করে, তাহলে সদাসর্বদা তাঁর বংশধররাই তোমার সামনে ইস্রায়েলের সিংহাসনে বসবে|
KJV : Now therefore, O LORD God of Israel, keep with thy servant David my father that which thou hast promised him, saying, There shall not fail thee a man in my sight to sit upon the throne of Israel; yet so that thy children take heed to their way to walk in my law, as thou hast walked before me.
YLT : `And now, O Jehovah, God of Israel, keep for Thy servant David my father that which Thou didst speak to him, saying, There is not cut off to thee a man from before Me, sitting on the throne of Israel, only, if thy sons watch their way to walk in My law, as thou hast walked before Me.
RV : Now therefore, O LORD, the God of Israel, keep with thy servant David my father that which thou hast promised him, saying, There shall not fail thee a man in my sight to sit on the throne of Israel; if only thy children take heed to their way, to walk in my law as thou hast walked before me.
RSV : Now therefore, O LORD, God of Israel, keep with thy servant David my father what thou hast promised him, saying, `There shall never fail you a man before me to sit upon the throne of Israel, if only your sons take heed to their way, to walk in my law as you have walked before me.'
ASV : Now therefore, O Jehovah, the God of Israel, keep with thy servant David my father that which thou hast promised him, saying, There shall not fail thee a man in my sight to sit on the throne of Israel, if only thy children take heed to their way, to walk in my law as thou hast walked before me.
ESV : Now therefore, O LORD, God of Israel, keep for your servant David my father what you have promised him, saying, 'You shall not lack a man to sit before me on the throne of Israel, if only your sons pay close attention to their way, to walk in my law as you have walked before me.'
ERVEN : Now, Lord, God of Israel, keep the other promises you made to your servant David, my father. You said, 'David, if your sons carefully obey me as you did, you will always have someone from your family ruling the people of Israel.'

BNV : প্রভু, ইস্রায়েলের ঈশ্বর, এবার তুমি তোমার দাস দায়ূদকে দেওয়া তোমার সেই প্রতিশ্রুতিও রক্ষা করো|
KJV : Now then, O LORD God of Israel, let thy word be verified, which thou hast spoken unto thy servant David.
YLT : `And now, O Jehovah, God of Israel, is Thy word stedfast that Thou hast spoken to Thy servant, to David,
RV : Now therefore, O LORD, the God of Israel, let thy word be verified, which thou spakest unto thy servant David.
RSV : Now therefore, O LORD, God of Israel, let thy word be confirmed, which thou hast spoken to thy servant David.
ASV : Now therefore, O Jehovah, the God of Israel, let thy word be verified, which thou spakest unto thy servant David.
ESV : Now therefore, O LORD, God of Israel, let your word be confirmed, which you have spoken to your servant David.
ERVEN : Again, Lord, God of Israel, I ask you to keep the promise you made to your servant, my father David.

BNV : “আমরা জানি যে পৃথিবীর লোকের সঙ্গে প্রভু বাস করেন না| সর্বোচচতম স্বর্গও যখন তোমায় ধরে রাখতে পারে না তখন আমার বানানো এই সামান্য মন্দির কি করে তোমায় ধরে রাখবে?
KJV : But will God in very deed dwell with men on the earth? behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house which I have built!
YLT : (for is it true? -- God dwelleth with man on the earth! Lo, the heavens, and the heavens of the heavens, do not contain Thee, how much less this house that I have built?)
RV : But will God in very deed dwell with men on the earth? behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house which I have builded!
RSV : "But will God dwell indeed with man on the earth? Behold, heaven and the highest heaven cannot contain thee; how much less this house which I have built!

ESV : "But will God indeed dwell with man on the earth? Behold, heaven and the highest heaven cannot contain you, how much less this house that I have built!
ERVEN : "But, God, will you really live here with us on the earth? The whole sky and the highest heaven cannot contain you. Certainly this house that I built cannot contain you either.

BNV : তাহলেও প্রভু, আমার ঈশ্বর, আমার প্রার্থনার প্রতি তোমাকে মনোয়োগী হতে মিনতি করি এবং তোমার অনুগ্রহ চাই| আমি, তোমার দাস তোমাকে যে কান্না এবং প্রার্থনা নিবেদন করি তা শোন|
KJV : Have respect therefore to the prayer of thy servant, and to his supplication, O LORD my God, to hearken unto the cry and the prayer which thy servant prayeth before thee:
YLT : `And Thou hast turned unto the prayer of Thy servant, and unto his supplication, O Jehovah my God, to hearken unto the cry and unto the prayer that Thy servant is praying before Thee,
RV : Yet have thou respect unto the prayer of thy servant, and to his supplication, O LORD my God, to hearken unto the cry and to the prayer which thy servant prayeth before thee:
RSV : Yet have regard to the prayer of thy servant and to his supplication, O LORD my God, hearkening to the cry and to the prayer which thy servant prays before thee;
ASV : Yet have thou respect unto the prayer of thy servant, and to his supplication, O Jehovah my God, to hearken unto the cry and to the prayer which thy servant prayeth before thee;
ESV : Yet have regard to the prayer of your servant and to his plea, O LORD my God, listening to the cry and to the prayer that your servant prays before you,
ERVEN : But please listen to my prayer and my request. I am your servant, and you are the Lord my God. Hear this prayer that I am praying to you today.

BNV : যাতে এই মন্দিরে, যেখানে তুমি তোমার নাম রাখবে বলে প্রতিশ্রুতি করেছিলে সেখানে কি হয় তা তুমি সর্বদাই দেখতে পাও এবং যখন আমি এই মন্দিরের দিকে তাকাই তখন আমার প্রার্থনা শুনতে পাও|
KJV : That thine eyes may be open upon this house day and night, upon the place whereof thou hast said that thou wouldest put thy name there; to hearken unto the prayer which thy servant prayeth toward this place.
YLT : for Thine eyes being open towards this house by day and by night, towards the place that Thou hast said to put Thy name there, to hearken unto the prayer that Thy servant prayeth towards this place.
RV : that thine eyes may be open toward this house day and night, even toward the place whereof thou hast said that thou wouldest put thy name there; to hearken unto the prayer which thy servant shall pray toward this place.
RSV : that thy eyes may be open day and night toward this house, the place where thou hast promised to set thy name, that thou mayest hearken to the prayer which thy servant offers toward this place.

ESV : that your eyes may be open day and night toward this house, the place where you have promised to set your name, that you may listen to the prayer that your servant offers toward this place.
ERVEN : In the past you said, 'I will be honored there.' So please watch over this Temple, night and day. And please listen to my prayer as I turn toward this Temple and pray to you.

KJV : If a man sin against his neighbour, and an oath be laid upon him to make him swear, and the oath come before thine altar in this house;
YLT : `If a man doth sin against his neighbour, and he hath lifted up on him an oath to cause him to swear, and the oath hath come in before Thine altar in this house --

BNV : তখন স্বর্গ থেকে সত্যি মিথ্য়া বিচার করে সেই অপরাধীকে তার কৃত অপরাধের যথায়োগ্য শাস্তি দিও| আর যদি কেউ নিরপরাধী হয় তবে তাকে রক্ষা করো|
KJV : Then hear thou from heaven, and do, and judge thy servants, by requiting the wicked, by recompensing his way upon his own head; and by justifying the righteous, by giving him according to his righteousness.

BNV : “তোমার বিরুদ্ধে পাপাচরণ করার অপরাধে হয়তো কখনও শএুরা তোমার সেবক ইস্রায়েলীয়দের যুদ্ধে পরাজিত করবে| তারপর যদি ইস্রায়েলীয়রা আবার তোমার কাছে এসে এই মন্দিরে দাঁড়িয়ে তোমার নামের প্রশংসা করে এবং প্রার্থনা করে ও ক্ষমা ভিক্ষা করে,
KJV : And if thy people Israel be put to the worse before the enemy, because they have sinned against thee; and shall return and confess thy name, and pray and make supplication before thee in this house;

BNV : তখন যদি কোন ব্যক্তি অথবা ইস্রায়েলের সব লোকরা, যাদের প্রত্যেকে তার নিজের রোগ এবং ব্যথার কথা জানে যদি দুহাত প্রসারিত করে এই মন্দিরের দিকে তাকিযে তোমায় কোন প্রার্থনা বা আবেদন জানায,
KJV : [Then] what prayer [or] what supplication soever shall be made of any man, or of all thy people Israel, when every one shall know his own sore and his own grief, and shall spread forth his hands in this house:
YLT : any prayer, any supplication that is for any man, and for all Thy people Israel, when they know each his own plague, and his own pain, and he hath spread out his hands towards this house:

BNV : তখন তুমি যেখানে বাস কর সেই স্বর্গ থেকে তার ডাকে সাড়া দিয়ে তার অপরাধ ক্ষমা করো| তুমি তো ঈশ্বর, সবার হৃদয় ও মনের কথা তুমি জানো তাই যার যা প্রাপ্য় তাকে তাই দিও|
KJV : Then hear thou from heaven thy dwelling place, and forgive, and render unto every man according unto all his ways, whose heart thou knowest; (for thou only knowest the hearts of the children of men:)

BNV : তখন স্বর্গ থেকে তুমি সেই ভিনদেশীর প্রার্থনার ডাকে সাড়া দিও, তাহলে এই পৃথিবীর সবাই তোমার মহিমার কথা জানতে পারবে এবং ইস্রায়েলীয়দের মতোই তোমায় শ্রদ্ধা করবে| পৃথিবীর সকলে তোমার নাম মাহাত্ম্য় প্রচারের জন্য বানানো আমার এই মন্দিরের কথা জানতে পারবে|
KJV : Then hear thou from the heavens, [even] from thy dwelling place, and do according to all that the stranger calleth to thee for; that all people of the earth may know thy name, and fear thee, as [doth] thy people Israel, and may know that this house which I have built is called by thy name.

KJV : If thy people go out to war against their enemies by the way that thou shalt send them, and they pray unto thee toward this city which thou hast chosen, and the house which I have built for thy name;
YLT : `When Thy people doth go out to battle against its enemies in the way that Thou dost send them, and they have prayed unto Thee the way of this city that Thou hast fixed on, and the house that I have built for Thy name:

BNV : “এমন কোনো ব্যক্তি নেই যে পাপ করে না| লোকরা যখন তোমার বিরুদ্ধে পাপাচরণ করে তোমায় রুদ্ধ করে তুলবে তুমি তাদের শএুদের হাতে যুদ্ধে পরাজিত করে সুদূরের কোনো দেশে বন্দীত্ব বরণে বাধ্য করবে|
KJV : If they sin against thee, (for [there is] no man which sinneth not,) and thou be angry with them, and deliver them over before [their] enemies, and they carry them away captives unto a land far off or near;

ERVEN : In that faraway land, your people will think about what happened. They will be sorry for their sins, and they will pray to you. They will say, 'We have sinned and done wrong.'

ERVEN : They will be in that faraway land of their enemies, but they will turn back to you. They will feel sorry for their sins with their whole heart and soul. They will turn toward the land you gave their ancestors. They will look toward the city you chose and toward the Temple I built, and they will pray to you.
